Bill Gates is the world's richest man again

 

Bill Gates who had been the world's richest man until 2007 when the Mexican investor, Carlos Slim, collected the title from him is now back at the top once more.

Slim, who is the largest mobile phone operator in the Americas has dropped 14% this year after Mexico’s congress passed a bill that could quash the billionaire’s market dominance. That’s helped erase more than $3bn from his net worth.

The 57-year-old Microsoft co-founder recaptured the title from 73-year-old investor, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, as the software maker hit a five-year high.

Bill Gates' present net worth is $72.7B while Carlos Slim's present net worth is $71.4B.
